At LVI we recognize the value of giving back and supporting the communities in which our team members live, work and raise their families. We feel our contributions and volunteer efforts help create stronger, healthier places which give a sense of belonging.

LVI supports community and charitable initiatives through volunteer activities, partnering in fundraising activities and by direct financial donations. We encourage and support participation in these very important charity and volunteer activities.

Some of the things that we do:

  • Boogie the Bridge which started in 1998 is an annual family event which today has over 2.800 participants. It is Kamloops largest running and walking event which has raised over 1 million dollars for local Kamloops charities. LVI team members participate in this event every year by either volunteering their personal time or taking part in the run to raise money for the supported charities.
  • Every August we look forward to the Annual BC Gaming Facilities Charity Golf Tournament. A fantastic cause, this event raises money for the Children’s Wish Foundation and enables wishes to come true. LVI is honoured every year to be allowed to sponsor teams and to provide volunteer time to assist the BCLC team in making this a winning event. Every year we also allocate one golf sponsorship where we ask BCLC to nominate 3 individuals who should be recognised for their contributions to their colleagues or to the community, these being individuals who would not normally get the opportunity to participate.csr2
  • In the summer of 2017, BC faced a wildfire crisis where many cities had to evacuate to escape the raging fires and smoke. The city of Kamloops stepped up to help evacuees of this crisis and looking for ways to help, team members at LVI spurring into action to assist the local food bank in unloading trucks as well as creating and distributing food packages for the displaced families.csr3
  • The “New Horizons Responsible Gambling Conference “ is an annual event which brings together responsible gambling researchers, policy makers, and industry representatives from around the world to discuss developments and best practices and solutions to reduce gambling harm to players and their families. Every year LVI is proud to be able to do their part by providing a sponsorship so that this important initiative can continue every year.
